Sustainability Success Consultant (ID #1634)

We are seeking a Sustainability Success Consultant to join our team.  The primary focus of a Success Consultant is to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and loyalty, which ultimately contributes to the growth and profitability of the company.  This is a full-time remote position.  We are looking for a meticulous, well-organized, self-starter with a passion for sustainability.     

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include: 

Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Maintain existing client accounts by building strong, long-term relationships and fostering customer loyalty. Effectively communicate with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, and consistently addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Renew contracts with existing clients to sustain customer relationships and improve customer profitability where appropriate.
  • Conduct regular strategic progress reviews with clients to assess service needs and ensure clients achieve their sustainability target goals.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance that exceeds client expectations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts.

Service Management:

  • Respond to and resolve all customer inquiries expeditiously, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Actively seek opportunities to introduce additional services, increasing revenue potential within each customer’s business portfolio.
  • Gather and maintain client sustainability data, generate monthly sustainability reports, analyze data to identify fluctuations and inaccuracies, and work with the service team to address any concerns and ensure clients meet their target goals.
  • Gather and maintain client and vendor invoices, analyze them for fluctuations and inaccuracies, and collaborate with the accounting team and vendors to resolve any discrepancies quickly.
  • Coordinate and complete service requests, adjustments, special services, and equipment repairs.
  • Follow and maintain the client education and training plan.
  • Manage vendor services, ensuring service completion and satisfaction.

Operational Management:

  • Understand the full suite of company offerings to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in customer programs.
  • Maintain and update all daily activities in the company CRM system, including calls, meetings, emails, and documents.
  • Manage and maintain Certificates of Insurance (COI) renewals.
  • Maintain and track client budgets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the company.

Candidate Qualifications Include:

Required Experience and Skills:  

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies/sciences, business, engineering, finance, mathematics/statistics, or related field from an accredited college/university; OR three to five years of experience in B2B customer service or account management experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite including SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to foster loyalty and trust.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams, ensuring clarity and satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and resolve client inquiries and problems expeditiously.
  • Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the company’s full suite of offerings to effectively communicate benefits and identify improvement opportunities in client programs.
  • Customer Service: Commitment to providing exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting client sustainability data and invoices to identify trends, fluctuations, and inaccuracies.

  • Spanish speaking and translation skills
  • Waste and recycling industry experience
  • TRUE certification
  • LEED AP certification
